Q: How long
has your network been in business?
A: Our company, SiteUp, Inc., was started in 1996.
Q: What is the minimum amount of money I need to invest to
mount a campaign with BClick?
A: We accept a minimum buy of $1,000. Smaller runs
do not effectively show what our network can produce for
your business.
Q: How large of a run can I place?
A: We can accommodate almost any size advertising run.
However, first-time clients are limited to $5,000 of credit.
Q: What are your financial terms?
A: You must have a D&B favorable rating and at least
three industry references to quality for credit. Agencies
placing advertising on behalf of their clients must sign-off
financially in the event their advertiser defaults.
Q: Does your contract offer an 'out' clause?
A: We only want advertisers who are happy with our
service. Our standard out clause is available with three
days notice, provided the run has reached the $500 mark.
Runs which have completed less than $500 are required to run
to at least that mark to get a good gauge of results.
Advertisers who exercise their out clause must immediately
pay for traffic already delivered as a condition of ending
their run early.
Q: What size banner do I need to submit?
A: We accept the CASE standard GIF banner size of 468
x 60 pixels, as well as other sizes along with this standard
size. Maximum file size is 22K. We accept a
limited amount of rich-media advertisements, contact us if
you would like to discuss this type of buy.
Q: Can the banner be animated?
A: Yes, animations are fine, provided they are capped at
10 repeats.
Q: Do you have any banner design companies you recommend?
A: Yes. For full-service banner consulting, we
recommend Eyescream Interactive.
Q: Are the host sites quality sites?
A: Yes. Each site in the BClick network is reviewed by a
staff member to insure the site meets our quality
guidelines. Sites are periodically re-reviewed and sites
which have dropped below our standards are removed.
Q: Will my banner display on any adult web sites?
A: No. As a matter of policy, BClick does not accept any
adult sites. If you see an adult site hosting a BClick
banner, please report that site to
abuse@bclick.com.
Q: What procedures do you have in place to prevent
cheating or spamming by sites which host your banners?
A: We have in place both an automated and
human-monitored system to prevent cheating on the network.
We track the referring URL for every single banner clicked,
and verify that only approved sites are hosting banners. In
addition, we have automated robots monitoring our logs for
any suspect activity. Accounts which are generating abnormal
levels of clickthroughs are suspended until a human can
investigate further.
Q: What if, by chance, a host does manage to find a way
around your security system?
A: Although we have the utmost confidence in our
tracking system, it is still possible that an enterprising
host will still find a way to cheat our system. This is why
we have instituted 'clickthrough caps'. We monitor the
average clickthrough ratio for all ad banners on our
network. Any host which approaches a significantly higher
clickthrough rate automatically has their account suspended
until a BClick staff member can investigate further.
Q: Can I verify that you have sent me the number of
visitors I was promised?
A: Yes. When you place an ad buy with us, you can
specify the URL we should send visitors to. You are welcome
to specify a 'gateway' page which will enable you to track
the number of visitors arriving at your site.
Q: How many different banners can I run?
A: You are allowed an unlimited number of banners for
your run. You may also change your creative at any time by
contacting your account representative.
Q: How long until I can begin receiving visitors?
A: Banners can be up and running on our network in only
a few hours from initial contact. Last minute buys may
run into inventory availability problems, so please let us
know as soon as you can what size run you would like us to
block off for you.
Q: I'm considering advertising - how do I get in touch
with you?
A: See our advertising contact page for ways to get in
touch with us.
